Quick Advice

Officially -105 pounds!

I got a trainer three weeks ago, and he has really jump started my weight loss again! I am so excited to have broken the plateau!

So many people have been asking me for advice lately, so I here are a few of the more important things I can think of:

1. I DO NOT SUPPORT MEAL REPLACEMENTS, SHAKES, PILLS, or SURGERY. Look, this isn't a diet, people. This is a lifestyle change. Whatever you do, make sure you can do it FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Otherwise, the weight will return. I promise.

2. If you want to lose weight, you NEED to exercise. Yes, you WILL lose weight if you cut calories. However, you can only cut so much. You need to exercise to increase the caloric deficit.

3. Take your time. If you've been overweight for a while (I was overweight for over 20 years), it takes time to take it off. Don't think you can take off twenty years of weight in 6 months. It won't happen.

4. Give yourself a break sometimes. If you're exhausted and want to rest, then do it. You've probably earned it. Once a week, stretch and let your body rest.
