New Changes?

Well, it's been a few more weeks since I have attempted to restart my combination of P90X and Insanity. And I won't lie - working full time AND working out daily AND trying to eat well takes a LOT of time, planning, and discipline.

I haven't been as disciplined as I should be - I won't lie.

The good news is that I lost weight over the Thanksgiving Holiday - how many of you can say that?

Also... I have been playing around with this idea in my mind for a LOOOONG time, but I think I am going to actually do it, starting in January...

THE PALEO DIET

Here's the basic concept - eat only what a caveman would eat. It makes sense to me. We have been evolving for millions of years (no, I don't support Macro-Evolution), and I am a FIRM believer that food DIRECTLY AFFECTS your mood, energy level, cholesterol, blood pressure, stress, etc. People who don't eat a NATURAL diet and eat PROCESSED foods are usually overweight, stressed, and unhealthy. Why? Because humans weren't MEANT to eat processed crap!

I have already been attempting something similar to a Paleo diet, meaning I stay away from most processed foods. However, the only things I will need to eliminate are bread (I have one slice in the mornings), potatoes, coffee, artificial sweeteners, and Cheese (NOOOO! I LOVE CHEESE!).

Also, the Paleo Diet focuses on LIVE FOODS, meaning fruits and veggies should be raw whenever possible. LEAN meat, bacon, and eggs are acceptable.

(Yes, funny picture, but at least it puts this diet into perspective. This is how humans used to eat.)

Once again, guys, this isn't JUST a diet.

Most people can't stick to a "diet" because that has a negative connotation. I have said this MILLIONS of times - this is a lifestyle change. This is a commitment to being the best version of yourself.

Food is fuel - nothing else.
