P90X + Week 3 Results

Ok, I am starting to sound like a broken record. Believe me, I know.

Once again, I am so happy that I have been documenting everything with pictures. I just wish I were comfortable enough to show all of my pics online! I took pics in my underwear on day 1 of p90x, and I did it again tonight. It is INSANE how different my body looks. Don't get me wrong, I am still not happy with certain things, but it is so much better than it was. I won't lie, being comfortable in a tank top and underwear is a pretty awesome experience - especially since I was never comfortable in that before!

One BIG problem though: my skin is taking a beating from losing all this weight then gaining muscle. In the places where I lost a LOT of weight (front of my stomach), my skin is loose. I have been trying different natural oils and exfoliating, and it is really helping. Once again, thank goodness for the pictures I have been taking. I think my skin looks the same, and then I compare it to past photos, and there is a HUGE difference!

Anyway, here are the official results of week three:
Weight: -2 pounds
Chest: -0
Waist: -.5
Hips: -0
Thighs: -.75
Arms: -0

P90X+ Week 2

So.... just a warning. I will discuss medical information - feminine medical information. If you are not interested in details, this isn't for you. Ok, you've been warned.

So this week, I gained half a pound, but I am blaming water retention from my cycle.

However, I lost another .75 from my hips! HELL YES!

ANNNNND.... I lost an inch from my thighs! I didn't think that would be possible since I wasn't working out my legs on their own (p90x+ doesn't have a legs dvd). But you DEFINITELY work out those thighs and butt in ALL the work outs! Whew!

Ok, time for weird medical occurrences.

So, my cycle is usually (USUALLY) like clock work. When I first started losing weight, I was over a week late and almost had a nervous break down with the thought that I might be pregnant. This time around, it started right on time - sort of. It was so light that had I not been diligently looking for it (like I do every month), I literally would have never noticed. Literally. This "light" "almost nothing" happened for about three days and completely stopped. I never needed any sort of feminine protection, which is NOT normal for me. Sooooo, of course, I freaked out.

I called my doctor - yes, on a Sunday afternoon. And he informed me that given my current low body fat percentage (15%), this is VERY normal. Supposedly this happens to athletes all the time. Since when am I considered an athlete?! Anyway... I was still nervous. So I contacted someone I know to have low body fat like I do. I won't give out names because I don't want to post HER personal medical information. This person also experiences the same thing and rarely needs to use feminine protection. I feel much better now knowing I am not the only one experiencing this; I'm still nervous though.

Maybe I should back off the weight lifting? My doctor said that I shouldn't. He said that I am doing amazing things with my body and to keep it up. Supposedly it will not affect my reproductive organs, and that I should not worry about my fertility in the future. I'm still uncomfortable about it though... I need to think about it more...

Keep up the good work out there...

~Never Done.
